After you have added a layer to your map profile, you can customize the data set that is defined as the mapped data source. 

First, open the Profile Settings Panel and then click on the gear icon next to the Layer. Select the heat map or color threshold schema.

Select Data

Choose which data column is used to determine the coloration of the point cloud. If the file you uploaded has more than five metrics, simply scroll to the right to reveal the remaining data sets. 

Data Trend

The data trend selects the direction of increase for the data. It defines how the data is colorized, relative to the set minimum and maximum range. The color schema ramps up from blue to red, unless otherwise defined by the Color Threshold coloring method.

Selecting Positive Increase orders the data from the smallest value to the largest value and associates it to its respective color. This sets your maximum range input at the top end of the color schema scale. 

Selecting Negative Increase Orders the data from the largest value to the smallest value. This sets your minimum range at the top end of the color schema scale.

Selecting Absolute Value takes the absolute value of your data and then orders it from the smallest value to the largest value. This sets your maximum range input at the top end of the color schema scale. 

Example:

Configured below is a heat map with a Negative Increase data trend. It is set with a minimum range of negative fifteen and a maximum range of fifteen. The legend is located in the bottom right hand corner - you can observe that negative fifteen is depicted at the top of the coloring map schema with a dark red coloring. The red points have a value of about negative fifteen.
