Sensemetrics is constantly monitoring the quality of your network and delivering real time updates. You can quickly view the connection status of any hardware with the connection icons or observe an overview in the Communication Quality section.
Connection Status
The Connection Status can be found in the Network Module under connectivity. The Connection Status indicator icon is displayed next to the Thread, Device, or Sensor.
Connectivity | Network |
Icon | Description |
The green icon indicates the connection is currently connected to the network
The red icon represents a Connection that is powered down or not able to establish a connection
The blue icon represents a Connection in Low Power mode
The grey icon indicates the Connection is archived
The Signal Bar icon located underneath the Connection acts similarly to the signal bars on your cell phone. The more bars there are, the stronger the signal connection. |
Communication Quality
To view the Communication Quality, select the tab to the left of the Connection Module.
Note: This is different than the Signal Bar icon located underneath a specific Connection.
Connectivity | Network | Communications Quality |
Every Connection in your Sensemetrics account will display on the timeline. A bright green indicates an excellent connection, while a dark red represents an inaccessible connection. Any color in between indicates a communication issue.
Accessibility, Packet Loss, and Latency Jitter are the three potential issues that can effect a connection's communication quality. Ensure your device is properly installed within line-of-sight of a Thread or is equipped with a functioning cellular microchip.
